This refurbished and modernised traditional Chalet at Gwithian Sands has given my wife and I three fantastic separate week long holidays in very recent years. Beautiful beaches, fantastic coastal walks and for us, the magnificent coastal train ride to St Ives (10mins) for some fantastic food and all the good stuff that goes with that 🍻
We cannot recommend Bows Pad highly enough 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
PS We’re going back later in the year 🎉
A lovely chalet – we enjoyed our time in Bows Pad. An attentive owner who responded quickly to any requests we had. The kitchen and open living space is fantastic. We had an enjoyable stay and would return.
This beautiful chalet, and the wonderful surroundings, was a very much need break.
It was exactly what we needed, with peaceful walks to the beach.😍
Wonderful chalet in a great location . Perfect for relaxation or as an ideal location to explore Cornwall 😀.
Bows Pad is in a quiet and peaceful location close to Gwithian Sands, near Hale in Cornwall. The chalet has been modernised to a high standard and is comfortable and with a good outlook. It has two bedrooms, one double and one twin with comfortable beds. The bathroom is compact but has modern facilities including a good shower. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, including a dishwasher etc. We enjoyed our holiday in Cornwall and we would recommend Bows Pad as a very good base for outings to Lands End, the Minack Theatre, St Ives, Penzance and Falmouth.
Nice chalet just behind Gwithian dune belt
Great location, a short walk over the dunes to the beach. Has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break. Friendly and helpful comms
Great place to stay. We had a lovely time. Nice and quiet chalet park in a very good location. Nearby sand dunes to keep children occupied without leaving the front patio. Will definitely book again.
Paul kept us informed of all relevant information we needed, from location directions facilities etc and also hints and tips of places to go and see. The setting of the chalet was idyllic for a peaceful and relaxing get away . The chalet was decked out with spacious bedrooms and modern kitchen. Everything you needed to make for a great stay .
We have been coming to Cornwall for 15 years and after this holiday we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else the accommodation was perfect.
We had a fantastic time during our second stay at Bows Pad Holiday Chalet in Gwithian Bay, Cornwall. Both my partner and I, along with our two cockapoo dogs, enjoyed our visit just as much as we did last year. The chalet is incredibly comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Its location is ideal, being close to the renowned Gwithian Beach, recently voted the best beach in the UK. Moreover, it’s just a short drive away from local shops such as M&S and Asda. We found the chalet to be very cozy, with excellent cooking facilities and internet access. The added bonus of a good-sized smart TV meant we could enjoy some Netflix on relaxed evenings. We’re already contemplating a third visit because we had such a great time during our stay
Great location for our needs including a day trip to the Scilly Isles, Falmouth, Helston, Minnack, St Michael’s Mount etc
The owner was very helpful, the booking was easy to arrange, the chalet was just what we needed
Great accommodation with everything you need. I really can’t fault it. I will be returning
Our second visit and we will return again next year. It’s our absolute dream of a holiday. Site is so lovely and quiet and clean. Cabin is perfect location for a gentle walks to the most amazing beaches where there are several cafes to have lunches or drinks. Each night we walk again to a high point on the grassed over dunes to watch some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. St Ives can be seen from a distance and whilst only a short drive to get to. We use the train station, where there is ample parking at at erths and then relax taking in some absolutely breathtaking views along the coast! Could not recommend it enough and Paul, the owner always on hand for any questions via text should you have any queries.
A truly beautiful, peaceful place to chill and walk and enjoy. We took our black lab who utterly loved his walks through the dunes to the beach which is utterly spectacular on the grandest of scales. Loved it so much already booked for next year.could not recommend it more…
Our family loved Bows Pad. It has everything you need for a relaxing break in a handy location to walk to the beach
Lovely cosy chalet with everything you need. Nice and quiet surrounding and perfect location for exploring the region. We had a great time and will definitely book again.
We had an amazing time in Bow’s Pad again. You have everything you need in the chalet to feel like at home and location is fantastic. A dune on the doorstep is a bonus if you want to keep children occupied with playing in the sand. Highly recommend, we will definitely be booking again!” Natalia

Yes Comments about this property The owner Paul, took great care in making Bows Pad a very enjoyable experience. There was nothing that he hadn’t thought of when equipping the lodge. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you would need, the furniture the beds were all of a very high standard and very comfortable. The lodge was a very high standard and everything was thought of and supplied including sun loungers. We will definitely be returning next year and I have already recommended Bows Pad to my family and friends. Tips for other travellers The list is too long for places to recommend as everywhere you drive to has somewhere with spectacular views. St Ives is easily accessible by train if you didn’t want to drive but if you do drive there are plenty of car parks with shuttle buses as although you can walk from the car park they are quite hilly and tough going but totally manageable if you didn’t want to walk. The only place we didn’t find that nice was Penzance, unfortunately it seemed quite run down and most of the shops were closed down which was a shame as it could’ve been a good place to visit. ext year and I have already recommended Bows Pad to my family and friends. | |||
